6. Surveys of Northern Australia's Threatened Finches
This work includes developing and implementing survey and monitoring programmes with several interest groups. Groups include the Sports Shooters Association of Australia to help measure benefits to waterbirds associated with their sustained control of feral pigs; surveys and monitoring the threatened finches of the Mitchell River catchment (with Kowanyama Rangers and Northern Gulf resource Management Group), and undertaking surveys of grass-wrens (western Queensland and NT with BirdLife Australia).
